Thalwil, Switzerland, June 16, 2010 – UK-based EMS Global Tracking (formerly known as Satamatics Ltd.), a division of EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: ELMG), and a leader in global telematics and tracking solutions has integrated the u-blox GPS chip UBX-G5010 into its recently unveiled Osprey Personal Tracker. Combining u-blox’ GPS receiver chip with Inmarsat communication technology, the Osprey offers dependable global positioning and two-way satellite communication for tracking of individuals, assets and fleets around the world.

The Osprey Personal Tracker boasts a long list of features, including the ability to communicate up to 450 pre-defined messages, multiple geofencing options, dedicated alert and POI buttons, and the ability to locate and communicate with the next nearest Osprey unit. The Osprey is supported by ViewPoint, a high-resolution web-based tracking application developed for the Osprey Personal Tracker, enabling control centre staff to track and send pre-defined messages to the unit.
