Pathfinder running on low cost modules

PATHFINDER is highly portable and runs not only on high end ADAS hardware, but also on low cost, low power consumer hardware.

To demonstrate the optimised and highly efficient use of resources we have ported PATHFINDER GNSS and emPE to the low cost platform NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™. 


NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™ Developer Kit is a small, powerful computer that lets you run multiple neural networks in parallel for applications like image classification, object detection, segmentation, and speech processing. All in an easy-to-use platform that runs in as little as 5 watts.


Nevertheless our favorite platform is the brand new NVIDIA® Jetson Xavier™ NX with the same small form factor. Up to 21 TOPS of accelerated computing delivers the horsepower to run modern neural networks in parallel to PATHFINDER and process data from multiple high-resolution sensors - a requirement for full AI systems.


This screenshot shows the GPU load of the Jetson Xavier™ NX during operation of the PATHFINDER GNSS software receiver with 16 tracked satellites. There is still room for other great applications!
