The EVK-ALMA-B1 evaluation kit serves as a complete starter kit that allows for easy evaluation and prototyping of the ALMA-B1 module. The application is developed using the chipset supplier's SDK and loaded to the module via the on-board debugger. The evaluation board provides access to all module pins via connectors, and is also equipped with two mikroBUS™ sockets that enables use of numerous Click board™ shields for quick prototyping of different use cases. In addition to the ALMA-B1 internal memory, 64 Mb hyperflash is included, along with user buttons and LEDs. The EVK‑ALMA-B1 can be used as a reference design for the ALMA-B1 series Bluetooth low energy modules thus enabling faster hardware development and shorter time to market.
The EVK‑ALMA-B101 kit is used for evaluation of the ALMA-B101 module with antenna pin for external antenna, while the EVK-ALMA-B106 kit is for evaluation of the ALMA-B106 with its built in high-performing PCB antenna. The kits include an evaluation board with ALMA-B1 module, internal or external antenna for Bluetooth and 802.15.4/Thread, as well as an NFC antenna.
