Our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact
We’ve been part of the UN Global Compact since 2012, demonstrating our long‑standing commitment to doing business in the right way. The Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, and sets out 10 principles around human rights, labor, the environment and anti‑corruption.
These principles form the core of our global sustainability efforts, and every year, we report on the progress we’ve made in implementing them. Our communication on progress can be found here.
Our Code of Conduct
Our Code of Conduct is based on the UN Global Compact principles, and sets out the standards everyone at u‑blox must adhere to whenever they engage with customers, colleagues, suppliers and the wider community.
It defines our core policies on areas such as legal and regulatory compliance, fair competition, anti‑corruption, protection of confidential information and intellectual property, health and safety, environmental conservation and information disclosure.
Our Code is available at our intranet in six languages. All our employees are required to get familiar with our Code of Conduct when they join, and then receive periodic training as part of their learning and development programs.
Anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption
The other core part of our business ethics drive is our strict anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption policy. Doing business the right way and behaving fairly and with integrity is essential if we’re to be respected by all our stakeholders.
This is why our approach to bribery and corruption is very simple: neither is ever acceptable and we have highly effective systems in place to counter both. We also provide extensive training and support to our employees, to ensure they understand and know how to adhere to the relevant rules and laws around bribery and corruption.
If any u‑blox employee ever witnesses or suspects bribery or corruption, we encourage them to speak up, and have confidential channels they can use to do this.
