Sustainable progress with ample potential

The 2021 u-blox annual sustainability report serves as a summary of many of our global business activities and ongoing sustainability efforts from September 19, 2020, to March 1, 2022.

The u-blox sustainability strategy is based on these five pillars: Business Ethics, Employees, Environmental Responsibility, Supply Chain Responsibility, and Community. We report on the policies and activities in each pillar and set out our goals and progress related to the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues within each pillar every year in our annual sustainability.

We are taking action in 5 areas aligned with the 17 UN Global Compact SDGs

To underline our commitment to be a good corporate citizen we signed the United Nations Global Compact in 2012 and have committed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We continually discover new ways we can implement sustainable initiatives and take action around a five-pillar sustainability strategy which is aligned with the UN Global Compact SDG’s.

The u-blox Sustainability 5:

In 2020, we renewed the materiality analysis to identify and prioritize the topics that are most important to u-blox and our stakeholders. We then grouped these into five areas aligned with the SDGs to form the basis of our Sustainability Strategy:

  • Business Ethics, Privacy and Security
  • Employees
  • Environmental Responsibility
  • Supply Chain Responsibility
  • Communities

We are going further

UN sustainability goals

Since 2012 we have continually worked on implementing policies and activities around our five-pillar sustainability strategy. We are now going further and have identified our top sustainability focus areas and goals: sustainable products; protecting the environment; doing business the right way; respecting our people and STEM education.
