u-blox GPS receiver chosen for Azentek’s Atlas in-car PC and new SmartMirror
Launched in August of 2008, the versatile OEM SmartMirror features integrated GPS navigation by Navigon, touch‑screen map and menu display, audible turn‑by‑turn navigation, rearview video input, available backup camera, and Bluetooth® hands‑free phone connectivity. Azentek is the first supplier to build a high‑end touch screen GPS navigation into the rearview mirror. The SmartMirror provides added convenience and safety because it is permanently mounted to the windshield. Sales of the SmartMirror continue to grow and the product is now available in the U.S and world wide in over 35 countries.
The next product to launch in the Azentek product line is the Atlas CPC‑1200, which is a complete in‑dash computer solution for the vehicle, putting the latest entertainment, business tools, GPS navigation, and automotive diagnostics capabilities at the user’s finger tips. The Atlas will be released Q3 2009 and will be available at 12‑Volt retailers, major retailers across the U.S. and Crutchfield. Every product in the Azentek product line will be equipped with the latest positioning technology from u‑blox, enabling turn‑by‑turn navigation and access to location‑based information and mobile services.
“Azentek leads the way in bringing the power of the personal computer to the automobile, changing the way drivers and passengers interact with and navigate in their world,” says Nikolaos Papadopoulos, president of u‑blox America. “The addition of the robust, 50‑channel u‑blox 5 positioning engine assures unparalleled performance, allowing users to determine where they are and access location‑based information and services – wherever they may be.”

The u‑blox solution handles this mission flawlessly, with precision and reliability, allowing us to provide users with the information they need – where and when they need it.”
