Job Description

Position:

This is a position within our DSP Team for an experienced and ambitious engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing and testing DSP functions for our cellular modem products.

Tasks

  • Participate in design and implementation of cellular modem software, including algorithm design, validation, implementation, verification, qualification, field trial, debug and customer support
  • Contribute to wider aspects of the product lifecycle including specification, planning, marketing and strategic development of technology and product roadmaps
  • Provide a creative technological input
  • Assist in the development of the definition and verification phase of new hardware blocks
Requirements:
  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering, Communications, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Solid experience in embedded real-time software development, ideally on DSP and control processors in C
  • Knowledge of radio communications theory and practice, ideally with exposure to cellular standards such as 5G NR, LTE and UMTS or related technologies such as WiFi and WiMax
  • Working knowledge of Linux and standard unix tools, as well as perl or Python
  • Working experience with Perforce or other version control systems, and of any software design processes
  • Experience in algorithms design and validation, and DSP implementation of algorithms is highly desirable.
  • Flexible team player with good inter-personal skills and an ability to work as a member of team working on large and complex projects
  • An inquisitive attitude and strong analytical skills
