Looking for Clever Heads!
As a Linux System Administrator at u-blox you are responsible to maintain and develop the compute infrastructure used to design the new generations of integrated circuits. Your knowledge about Linux systems on one hand allows you guarantee a smooths operation of the system and a balanced load distribution of all the computation tasks. On the other hand, you are working with the IC design team on a larger range of topics like version management, installation of the foundry technology and optimization and budgeting of the license use to ensure a smooth work flow. Your methodical but creative thinking allows you bring in your own ideas how to improve the system setup and the workflow. You enjoy being part of a motivated, international team engineering the next generation of u-bloxs innovative and competitive Integrated Ciruits.
The position is located in Thalwil / Switzerland.
Your Skills and Experience
- Monitoring and administrating the high performance compute infrastructure
- Installing IC design tools,3rd party IP and foundry technology files
- Administrating the load balancing system
- Support the designer on the tools and the design flow
- Manage the users
- Provide input to the budgeting process
- Knowledge of Linux
- Knowledge of scripting languages
- Interest in IC design
- Customer oriented
- Flexible team player
- Good communication skills (oral and in writing) in English
- 2 years experience in similar roles
