Water meters, parking lots, street lights, washing machines – in the Internet of Things everything that can be meaningfully networked is networked. And at the foundation, the right network is needed. The ideal network technology for IoT applications, most which only send small amounts of data every now and then, is Narrowband IoT (NB‑IoT). Limited to essential components, the technology is less complex and is as inexpensive as it is energy efficient. Transmission over long distances or deep inside buildings is also possible.
There is currently a lot of interest and need for information on NB‑IoT. With this NB‑IoT workshop, we would like to offer interested parties the opportunity to inform themselves on different aspects of the current state of the technology.
