Single Frequency Dual System Receiver

Our new generation of receivers can track GPS and Galileo satellites on a single, L1, frequency. All u-blox 5 tracking channels are Galileo capable. 1575 MHz (L1 Band) Galileo Open Service (OS) Our u-blox 5 single chips and chipsets are prepared for mixed system reception. This new generation, as our previous generation, can simultaneously receive GPS, WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS. As soon as Galileo signals become available, our receivers will be able to simultaneously receive and track these signals too, via a simple software upgrade. The benefits that Galileo signals will bring are as follows: Better coverage from more satellites Higher positioning accuracy Better multipath mitigation Higher overall reliability and availability Software upgrade upon deployment of Galileo system by the EU
