Time runs faster than expected
In the RoHS and WEEE directives, the European Union has imposed hard deadlines which
must be met. u-blox commits to introduce lead free products on time in order to provide
customers enough time to migrate their products to lead free.
Schedule
All ANTARIS 4 products (for example the TIM-4P and LEA-4P) are RoHS compliant from the very beginning.
For the ANTARIS products (for example the TIM-LP and LEA-LA), the changeover to lead-free has been accomplished by May 31, 2006.

Legislation: Deadline for EU member countries to bring into force the national laws,
regulations and
administrative provisions necessary to comply with the RoHS and WEEE directives.

| May 31, 2006 |
All active products have been changed to lead-free.

| July 01, 2006 |
Legislation: The RoHS directive has become effective. Starting this date, only RoHS compliant
electronic products, regardless if OEM or end products, may be sold.

| December 31, 2006 |
Legislation: Recycling goals defined by WEEE must be fulfilled.
