ANTARIS 4 chipsets, and the new LEA-LA, LEA-4H and LEA-4P modules all feature a built-in USB port. USB enables much simpler data sharing and retrieval at significantly higher speeds. It eliminates the need for an external, expensive USB or for a RS-232 converter. This makes ANTARIS 4 products suitable for plug-and-play devices on any PC environment. Moreover, USB can be used as a flexible interface inside an end product, allowing a host processor to communicate with all built-in peripherals and the GPS receiver. Emulating a standard COM port to the operating system, our GPS receivers integrate seamlessly into any available navigation software. This makes them ideally suited for GPS applications such as smart antennas, for instance, which are solely powered and operated via a USB interface.
