AEK-4R ANTARIS 4 GPS Dead Reckoning Evaluation Kit  

The AEK-4R is a ready-to-go starter kit that allows fast and easy evaluations of the Antaris®4 based LEA-4R and TIM-4R GPS modules with Dead Reckoning.

Dead reckoning (DR) GPS receivers supplement GPS information with additional signals from a gyroscope (turn rate sensor) and an odometer to establish the traveled route during periods of poor GPS reception or GPS outages. The positions are calculated incrementally based upon previous positions, measured changes of heading and distance traveled. Depending on the quality of the available GPS signals, the innovative Enhanced Kalman Filter (EKF) algorithm from u-blox accurately computes the next positions by using an automatically weighted mix of GPS and sensor inputs.
