The acquisition significantly expands u-blox' existing line of 2G and 3G modems. CDMA2000 wireless modem functionality is a core element in fleet management, asset tracking, automotive safety applications, point-of-sales terminals, metering, vending and remote monitoring and control applications. It is also integrated into consumer products such as notebook, tablet computers, eReaders and navigation devices. These are all markets where u-blox is the leading supplier of GPS chip and module solutions.
