How to get differential corrections?
There are several option. The most common ones are radio broadcasts (e.g. RTS) and satellite broadcasts (SBAS, not GPS satellites).
- SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, etc.) satellites broadcast differential correction, which can be received throught the GPS antenna of ANTARIS GPS receivers without any additional hardware. This service can be enabled with the "Apply SBAS Correction Data" option in the UBX-CFG-SBAS command. Please refer to the ANTARIS Protocol Specification for further information.
- Various DGPS services are available via FM or via the internet broadcast. The MBX-3S from Hemisphere GPS (previously CSI Wireless) is an example for a medium frequency DGPS radio beacon providing a RTCM output that can be connected to a GPS receiver. NTRIP is an example for an internet DGPS service providing RTCM data.
